kiranlightpawSo I have this app on my iPad called Exoplanets. Keeping in mind what a geek I am when it comes to space and interstellar travel, I figured this would be a perfectly awesome app to have.
I didn't know at the time, but it sends messages as well. This morning, my iPad made a little message beep. I picked it up and looked at it, and it said:
"A new extrasolar planet has been discovered! HIP 57050 b"
Fucking Star Trek again. Set course, warp 5. ENGAGE!

Date: 2010-04-28 01:12 am (UTC)I imagine a UFO etching messages into the surface of a planet with a powerful high-precision laser, not unlike Chairface trying to write his name on the moon.
They could pick any nearby planet or asteroid and etch something like "HUMANS R FAGS" on it, so there it is, in plain sight for anyone who has a telescope.
What are we going to do about it? Nothin'.
